Another update on the progress of the house :)

Kitchen sink, bath, toilet and most of the tap-ware has been installed. Unfortunately they got our kitchen mixer wrong, so now I have a choice either to keep it or ask Carlisle to change it to the one that we order. Which one do you think is better looking?

Heating and Cooling Vents have also been done around the house. Now considering that we can close the vent manually by twisting it make no sense to do zoning at all! Just need to close on the rooms that you are not using.

Hi All,

It has been another week and surprisingly when I come to the house today there is someone working so we can come in and have a look :)

I now can see the painting done very closely. I already can see some minor imperfections that I will bring up on the next inspection.

I will have my first meeting with SS this Wednesday, really want to put a face on the name :) He has been very helpful along the way but have never manage to meet him so I requested it and he will walk me trough the current house.

Hi All,

Time for another update during the completion stage! Since the house is locked up, it is been hard to look into and last week we can't get into the house at all because it was being painted.

Next week the tiles will be finished and carpet / timber floor will start.

Then fitting the electrical :)

Hi All,

It has been more than one week now and it is time for an update. Since the house is already locked up, it is harder for us to come and check the house. However we manage to get in the house because the SS left the door open for us for a short time.

It is true that this stage is when it is the slowest however, I still can see progress going on the house. All the door has been installed just need to add the handles, keys and painted. Skirting installation is now finished and they have started working on the shower base. Painting will start tomorrow.

I'm sure it is a normal building practice but looking that we already paid 80% of the building and still don't have flooring done is a bit unfair..

It has been another week passed and we just got our lockup invoice send to us last week. The house is now on fixing stage.

Cornices has been installed on the plaster and Laminex cupboard has been installed as well trough out the house. The Caesarestone for the kitchen will be added later on.
